Click on this and watch the video. Richard Cohen is writing a book about people with chronic illness and although none of his subjects have diabetes, there are still some lines used in this piece that I have heard echoed through the D-OC many times. Also the approach they have taken with the medical school is awesome.

WOW! I WAS impressed. Think if the medical core could begin to be taught the importance of seing chronically ill patients with such understanding.
as chrissie said ... wow, i also am very impressed. thanks for sharing!
Thanks for sharing this, Vivian.
Anything that helps (future) medical professionals better understand the perspective of those living with a chronic illness is a wonderful thing indeed.
p.s. so sorry to hear about Daniel's scary low last night. I hope you all have a better night this evening.
I'm glad you saw this Vivian. I was in WV last Friday attending a funeral and caught this on the Today show... naturally I thought of you and your family. Richard has a good attitude about his MS and I think you and your hubby do too. As you know, attitude really makes the difference in living a successful life.
Maybe if this catches on the next generation of doctors will remember that people are more than charts.
Keith - I am so sorry to hear you were at a funeral. I hope all is well and that you are staying warm.
